Questions, answered.

What is Previe?

A physician-led preventive care service. We handle the care most people mean to get to — PrEP, DoxyPEP, birth control, lab screening, overdue mammograms, statins for people living with diabetes, and travel prescriptions — and keep it on schedule.

Can I start today?

Previe is opening state by state. Check eligibility or join the waitlist and we’ll email you the day your state opens. Everyone on the waitlist gets their first visit for $15.

Do you take insurance?

Preventive care is where insurance works best, and we’re building Previe to work with it. We’ll confirm exactly how billing works in your state before you ever pay.

Who are the clinicians?

Board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners licensed in your state, supported by licensed U.S. pharmacies and CLIA-certified labs.

Is Previe for emergencies?

No. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911.

Is my information private?

Yes. Once you create an account, your health information is protected under HIPAA. Answers to the quick questionnaire on this website stay on this site and are not part of your medical record.

Do I need an HIV test first?

Yes. PrEP is only prescribed after a recent negative HIV test, and testing repeats every three months while you take it.

What if I think I was exposed in the last 72 hours?

That is PEP, not PrEP, and it is time-critical. Go to an urgent care centre or emergency department today.

Is it discreet?

Yes — plain outer packaging, and your details are protected under our privacy practices.

Can I take it with PrEP?

Yes, many people use both. Your clinician reviews them together.

Does it work for women?

CDC guidance currently covers men who have sex with men and transgender women; evidence in cisgender women is still limited, so your clinician will discuss your options honestly.

Do I need a pelvic exam?

No. Birth control can be prescribed safely after a health history and a recent blood pressure reading.

Can I switch methods?

Yes — message your clinician and they will review what might suit you better.

Can I use it with condoms?

Yes, and condoms add STI protection.

Can I use it with a hormonal method?

Yes, but it is not needed with the ring. Your clinician will advise.

Do I need to fast?

Your clinician will tell you — fasting is only needed for some tests.

Can I use insurance?

Routine screening is often covered as preventive care. We’ll confirm how billing works in your state at launch.

Does the mammogram happen online?

No — it happens at an imaging centre. Previe does everything around it: the order, the booking and the follow-up.

Is it covered?

Screening mammograms are covered as preventive care by most insurance plans. We confirm details before booking.

I already see a doctor for my diabetes.

Great — Previe can work alongside them, and we share a summary with your permission.

Do I need blood tests?

Yes, a lipid panel before starting and yearly after.

Do you give vaccines?

No — vaccines need a travel clinic in person. We tell you which ones your trip calls for.

How far ahead should I order?

At least two weeks before you leave.
